Functioning of the club: the heart of Soroptimist International
The club is the basic unit of Soroptimist International and its 'raison d’être'.
It comprises at least 18 members, of whom a majority must be active.
Drawn from professional contexts or other backgrounds this diversity of members enriches the clubs.
Bound by ties of friendship and solidarity, the club is able to develop in order to better ‘understand, defend, undertake’ the problems of society at all levels.
Statutory meetings :
The club meets ten times a year, the same day of each month, without exceptions.
One meeting is designated as a General Assembly (obligatory attendance by members).
Clubs must:

- Promote and follow up the recruitment of new members to the club
- Organise presentations, preferably relevant to the projects adopted by the club
